CLIENT: Acorns Romania (simultaneous interpretation – case study)

CONTEXT: A number of English-speaking guests were invited for a conference about education, thus making it necessary the use of simultaneous interpretation for mediation with the Romanian-speaking audience.

APPROACH: A team of interpreters with extensive experience facilitated the communication between the speakers and the audience. Prior to the event, the interpreters made the necessary research on the subjects that were to be discussed. The technical team was present during the entire simultaneous interpretation project in order to ensure the quality of the sound. This way, any technical problem that might have occurred, could be avoided.

RESULTS: A beautiful event, with an educational impact, where everyone made their own contribution. We are happy to have been able to facilitate the communication and to contribute to this event, in our own way.

Translation and Interpretation – The Department helps you communicate in any language with our translation and interpretation services. To make sure you get the benefit of the best services, we provide specialized equipment, according to the ISO Standard 4043:1998:

• Soundproof booth, which is necessary for the events which involve simultaneous interpretation;
• Booth equipped with a console for simultaneous interpretation;
• Individual headsets for each participant, for the translation of the target language to happen in real time;
• Audio recording equipment, if necessary.

Each target language implies the need for a translation cabin and two interpreters. The equipment for simultaneous translation is established depending on a number of aspects. The size of the room, the number of participants, the type of event, the length of the event and the language(s) spoken by the participants are just a few factors that must be taken into consideration. With the help of the simultaneous interpretation equipment, we ensure the proper development of the event. Technical support is provided by a team of technicians who will install the equipment and who will test it together with the interpreters. This way, we make sure that everything works properly once the event starts.

Our partners, with whom we have worked together for more than 10 years, provide us professional equipment. For infrared simultaneous translation, we use a BOSCH DCN NEXT GENERATION system. For radio translation, Sennheiser Infoport.
